I’ve had two achievements the past two days.
The first: I acquired the skill of not paying attention in class despite being the only person in the class. I attribute this ability to the influence of my brother.
The second: I convinced my teacher that we should go on a field trip. So instead of class tomorrow afternoon, he’s asking the director if we can explore the city, specifically the Sun Temple, Coriacancha.
Yeah, I’m good. 😎
Cool story, my school offers free Salsa lessons. Free, I like, dancing… “you’re friends can’t dance, and if they can’t dance, then they’re no friends of mine”….but I want to be your friend!!!!!
Monica, in the picture above, was my first ever dance partner. With a British accent, she hails from New York. I kid thee not. I don’t think I did that bad, so I probably did slightly better than terrible. But I got to learn the guy part, so I got to spin her around. Aren’t I the perfect gentleman?
And then I found out about more free Salsa classes. I like free.
We stopped dancing for a little to take a break. After the break we partnered up again. The first half, we constantly were switching partners, so it didn’t matter who you were dancing with. It wasn’t really fun dancing with the bald guy. Oh, yeah, I got stuck with him. And the instructor is calling out, “one”, “five”, “one”, “five” (different dance steps) and we’re still not changing partners. The baldy was gripping my hand awkwardly, not going with what the instructor was saying and I was really confused. He even asked for “partner change”. Then everyone switched to a different grip with their partner, one more like a ballroom dancing hold. I lightly put my hand on the tip of his shoulder and stayed as far away as possible. He took my hand, put it fully on his shoulder which would force me to move closer to him.
But then I got to and watch soccer. Good choices overall.
I made some new friends. They’re also dancing in the above pictures and video.
That’s us at the chocolate museum. That may or may not be the 3rd time I went there in 4 days. They may or may not have recognized me there… I may have gotten a slight reputation for my chocolate obsession…
Marie said that nothing I do surprises her anymore. That’s permission to be weirder, right?
Also, Swan, my new friend who is a pretty awesome artist from the U.S. told me that I was emotional and had a sensitive heart. I kind of felt violated and uncomfortable in my own skin. For her part thought, this was after she had a couple of drinks. So she doesn’t actually think that, right?
Amelia, this one is for you.
I HAD EMPANADAS HERE AND IT WAS AMAZING!
You take a bite of it and then squirt some lime juice in it and it’s soooooo good!!!!!
Other cool things I saw recently that doesn’t have a cool story behind it:
Don’t go yet, I’ll be right back shortly.
P.S. Credit for all of the dancing photos and some of the other photos goes to Marie. She is the official photographer of my blog and reminds me, “hey, want me to take a picture of you doing that for your blog.” I think she might be more into taking pictures for me than I am. THANK YOU
