Netherlands versus Spain. We all thought it was going to be a great game. 2 great teams battling it out to secure their spot in the next round.

But we are going to get back to that in a second. Because before I met up with Mau to watch the game, I finally went to a mueseo again!!! It was a museum of memory, a remembrance of Argentina’s military dictatorship’s atrocities.

What I remember of a quote: "This was the place, I remember the step that they had us go up. They would make us go faster so that we would trip on the step and they'd have another excuse to hurt us."

I did not have a chance to go through the whole thing, because….NETHERLANDS VS. SPAIN.

By the way I had plans to watch the game with my friend that rooted for Spain. I was rooting for the Netherlands. So it was a very fun game for me.

We met up in the center of the city and went to the first bar that we found, which coincidentally was just across the street. A resto-bar, it wasn’t too big and had 2 nice-ish sized TVs on different sides both facing the center so everyone could see.

Since I was the only one who wanted beer and Amelia WAS SUPPOSED to meet us there. I ordered myself a liter. Which I then finished by myself because AMELIA NEVER CAME. Yeah, I’m the drunkard in the group.

Basically after the first bit of bantering between Mau and myself as to Spain versus Netherlands, Netherlands began giving Spain a butt whooping that hurt him. I saw it in his face. He went through the stages of grief well most of them. Anger – Sadness – Acceptance. After acceptance we all enjoyed the wonderful show the Netherlands gave us.

I’m voting for Argentina because I’m currently in Argentina and people have tons of fun when Argentina wins, but after Argentina, I am going for the Netherlands. Probably because I met a bunch of cool Dutch people in my travels and then because they showed me such a pretty game.
