Hitting back to Iguazu, where it’s in the rain forest/jungle area. AKA it’s hot. I went there during the winter there. Yet was walking around in shorts. I only became uncomfortable in shorts after getting wet, but that’s another story.

So we have half a day to kill before the Argentina v. Netherlands day. Now if you are a world cup fan or you followed the world cup, you may recall this game was the day after the Brazil v. Germany game. Then, are you good at geography or have an idea of what countries border Iguazu falls? If you guessed Brazil and Argentina (and Paraguay but it doesn’t really matter) then you are correct!!!

Number 1 that was crazy. Just hearing, Goal…2 seconds later, goal. So we (my mother was still there with me at that time -__- ) met a family that just came from the Brazilian side. They proceeded to tell us about the game and the festivities over there. I don’t know about the rest of Brazil, but it seems like right across the border, after the game, (not saying anything about during the game because if I was them I would have been getting EXTREMELY frustrated during the game), the Brazilians proceeded to drink in sadness, then drink in festivity and then party.

You know what Brazil, I like that. Partying even after you got your asses handed to you.

Back to hot Iguazu.

Of course travelling’s best friend is Trip Adviser. One of the main attractions recommended was an Ice Bar. For entrance and 30 minutes of all you can drink drinks was 160 pesos. So $16 a person. What the hell, never been to an ice bar.

I thought it was going to be ridiculously cold. It wasn’t. Also I didn’t mind this, mother wasn’t too keen, but most of the drinks (4/5 selections we had, well maybe a bit of an exaggeration…) were sugary chocolate-y drinks, the dulce de leche one wasn’t very good :/.

And then of course my mother who went to apparently this intense awesome ice bar in northern China in the dinosaur age when she was a college student was soooo much bigger and grander and they didn’t cheat by putting slabs of ice together like this one does.

Want to know what I had to say to her?
